Northwest Alliance for Alternative Media and Education (NAAME)

NAAME is a grassroots media nonprofit incorporated in 1991 based in the NW. It ran the Alliance newspapers which were monthlies that were in five cities in the PNW. The Portland Alliance, a monthly alternative community newspaper based in Portland was the last paper and survived for decades and is still found online. In the past four years NAAME has had a change in direction and fresh energy on the board. They now run the Cascade Media Convergence which is has been an annual convergence of grassroots media makers.
